Climbing weekends of 8/11-12 + 8/18-19+20

North Conway N/H - Whitehorse Slab climbing .

Looking up at Beginners route . This route should not be taken lightly . It has runouts of 50+ feet. Pitch 5 beginners route . This was the first of 5 trips up the Slabs this weekend.

Sliding Board 5.7 goes up right of the clinbers above, The climber rappeling is on the route. This was the scarriest most run out Slab route I have ever done.

4th Pitch of Sliding Board - finally some gear!.

View from top of sliding board after 1000+ feet of way unprotected Slab climbing.

Another great route S/ C something ??

Looking up at Standard Route

Cozy perch at top of Pitch 5 or 6 Standard route.

From Left to Right : Summits - Mt. WAshington, Adams, Madison, Wildcat

Garden is Rocking

I just picked 6 tomotoes - so they are doing ok also. Rest of the stuff is doing A-OK . Problem is growing season is over in a few weeks.
I have cucumbers - YES I have lots +lots of cucumbers ...

In with the NEW - Out with the Old

My Sweet 2004 350 Z

Drove this to work Friday - Did not drive it home .... This now sits in my Garage . 2008 Altima 2.5 liter 4 cyld.
So Why did I do this ?
The Z was a fun car ( no it was a F'n blast to drive), It is hands down the best looking car I ever owned + it got decent gas mileage BUT......
I could not drive in the winter (rear wheel drive 289HP)
The Z needed High Test GAS.
The Z cost more for insurance.
With the Z I needed a seperate Winter Car .
Now I can get rid of the old 1993 Tauras wagon.
The Altima will get 2x the gas milage.
If needed it will seat 5 , The Z had no back seats at all.
I was worried about service issues with a preformace car as it got older.
So that's it - No regrets I have a very nice car with some lines similar to the Z.
