This is the ultimate MONEY pitch of climbing @ the GUNKS - CCK . This is Jonathan . I will be back next weekend and hope to drag Keith up to this point and have him get my Pic on lead. It's a wicked cool - Thin traverse down low just out of the Pic, then you work a few moves up on the slab place some pro make a few more moves more pro a few deep breaths and exit top right with more thin moves. It's almost as much fun as racing TT bikes..........

Monday Night Oil Change in the Eurovan + ROCK CLIMB
My VW Eurovan camper can only get a oil change in two places in Ct. . At least that's all I know about no one in the east wants to work on these things. So I drive the 45 Min's to the VW dealer, + instead of the normal 2 hour wait....
I hike up the road about a mile cut into the woods to one of the local CT. TRAP ROCK Cliffs and I did 9 laps on a 100' tall cliff. Nice work out for a Monday . Break down my rope and hike back to VW dealer .
Good night - 2 mile walk 900 feet of vertical all in three hours.....
Not like Gary's Killer rides - but good work out for a weeknight..

Rock Trip # 8 - Yes back to the Gunks again- What can I say the place ROCKS - Don + Steve - Base camp Eurovan
We got in two solid days of great climbing with Semi sketchy weather ( Hot + Sweaty Sat. ) . We did a link up variation route called Bitchy Virgin - neither of us had ever done the route it was great. Then I lead Wonderland 5.8- and fell at the Bolt - Big screamer down but nice + steep so clean fall + nothing to hit. Double 9mm ropes stretch a lot - but they are designed to do that.
Sunday was close to a total rain out - But it cleared out and we got a full climbing day even after retreating from 1/2 way up our first climb - when light rain + wierd FOG rolled in from Below ?? Later I got to lead the $$$ pitch on Arrow 5.8 it has a cool roof and several thin moves on a beautiful white slab of GUNKS perfect rock - what a blast. Funny how getting scarred can be so much FUN.
We did 9 pitches Sat and 6 pitches Sunday.
Gary you need to go climbing outdoors with me next time your back EAST and have some free time.
Rock Trip #7 - Back to the climbing world - Gunks again -day trip Sunday June 7 w / Jonathan
I'm about 1/2 way to the tree ( 1st belay) and getting ready for the CRUX moves on the steep / roof section above me + left of the overhang. It was a great route !
